The event, organised by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the UK (ICCIUK), the Italian Embassy in London, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) London, SIMEST, Confindustria, and CNA, marked a significant milestone in fostering bilateral business relations between Italy and the United Kingdom.
President Belluzzo’s intervention emphasised how crucial it is to promote cooperation and communication between Italian and UK businesses, especially in view of current market trends and innovative potential. He highlighted the pivotal role of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in nurturing this bilateral relationship by uniting businesses and facilitating impactful connections between industry leaders in both Italy and the UK. The ICCIUK does so by offering specialised expertise and tailored support to companies navigating the landscape of bilateral trade and investment between the two nations, leveraging its extensive network of members and partners to provide invaluable resources and guidance.
Additionally, President Belluzzo delved into the UK-Italy trade relations by presenting a roadmap detailing key trade agreements signed by the two nations to date, and provided insights from the Smart Institute report aimed at enhancing understanding risks and opportunities of Brexit (and post-Brexit) for Italian companies and professionals.
